As Odin once put it, From a word to a word, I was lead to a word; from a deed to another deed. So going to the Midwest Weaver's Conference led me to surf pages on guilds. I found some nice light summer reading that puts a better perspective on the middle ages. Medieval Guilds figured heavily into daily life in the middle ages. Originally starting out to promote capitalism and ended up creating socialism. Hugh? Interesting reading. Check it out:
