2009-06-11 - 10:00 p.m.

I'm back after a month long sojourn to Muskogee, Oklahoma. I was a freshman merchant at the Castle for the run of the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival. It ran every weekend in May.

I made some wonderful new friends which I do miss. The nice ladies at Knit Night in Broken Arrow, the hand spinners in Tulsa, and all the characters around the Castle. I had a memorable month. I did a small amount of touring, taking in the Phillbrook in Tulsa and the Five Tribes Museum in Muskogee. I am saving more sights for next year when I shall return.

At the moment, I am trying to finish up all the custom hat orders I took in since April. Most are nearly complete. I am watching as many Shakespearean movies as I can while knitting to ease the withdrawal from the fair. It also helps that the Penguins are playing for the Stanley cup.

Next I will be heading to Iowa for the Midwest Weaver's Conference. Hope to meet more new friends while there.
