Lady Ursula's Musings 2002-05-02 - 7:56 p.m.
See which Greek Goddess you are. Okay, so it's Beltaine. I just had to know which Greek Goddess I resemble. Guess I need add "clean the fireplace" to my list of spring cleaning chores and get some wood chopped. For the Lords and Ladies of the Realm who don't know what Beltaine is, I shall endeavor to explain. Beltaine is otherwise known as May Day which is still celebrated in many parts of the world. Traditionally, it is associated with fertility, May Poles, jumping over fires or cauldrons, and many other fertility rites and dances. (Ever see Braveheart?) It has been around for a very long time in so many cultures. Explore your own ethnic background and find out more about your own roots in celebrating this holiday. May your herds and flocks triple in size and may you prosper! Lady Ursula
